The perks of being a prefect were slim, but when Darcy considered the bootleg booze he’d managed to confiscate, and divert from ending up in a dusty dungeon cabinet, the long night patrols didn’t seem so bad. He had a bottle in each hand to offer to Harlowe. ❝Hooch firewhisky that might burn a hole in your throat, or…❞ He angled the second bottle to slosh the contents and take a guess. ❝Something that most definitely isn’t giggle water…❞ Darcy grimaced, the perks weren’t necessarily always fantastic. He tossed Summer one bottle and kept the haphazard firewhisky discarding the stopper to take a sniff. It was repulsive, but good enough he assumed not to kill them. He took a swig then passed it to her. ❝I’d stick to this…seems drinkable.❞ Darcy took the moment to roll the sleeves of his pristine shirt to his elbows, back firmly against the wall and then soon after the back of his head too. He muddled for abit in that awkward silence before delving back to familiar, easy conversation. ❝How’s the new dorm?❞

Can I request one of Elijah x reader with the prompt “be mine, valentine? and Iforgot to get you a gift.  will a kiss suffice? Thank you.

His smile was everything to you.  He was everything to you.  So when Valentine’s Day came around, you decided to go all out.  Your gift probably cost you well over a hundred dollars, and you knew that your Original vampire would quite literally kill you because of it.  But he didn’t have to know how much it cost—every tag on each item had been ripped off.

It was four in the afternoon when you found yourself standing at Elijah’s door, nervously waiting with your gift bag clutched tightly in your dominant hand.  You knocked on the front door, tilting your head back to look at the already darkening skies.  Winter in Virginia always tended to make the days shorter.  

Elijah was at the door, almost instantaneously.  He opened it up and smiled once he saw you.  

“[Your name]!”

You grinned at your boyfriend, holding up the gift.  “Be mine, Valentine?” you softly asked, unable to fight the smile that grew.  Your cheeks burned, but you stood confident in front of him.  You had no reason to be embarrassed. 

Elijah laughed and he took the gift from you, smiling.  “I had planned on taking you to a nice dinner, but that’s the one thing that slipped my mind.  You would think a being my age would remember.”

“What?” you smiled, tilting your head.  

“I forgot to get you a gift.  Will a kiss suffice?” he grinned, leaning forward and swooping his head down to kiss your lips.  

You laughed, kissing him in return.  “Of course it will.”

“I’ll get you something, but until I do, I would like to apologize.”

You rolled your eyes, grinning.  “I don’t need anything.  You being here for me is gift enough, Elijah.”
